30 beluga whales relocated from Canadian facility across North America

Thirty beluga whales were relocated from a closed marine attraction in Canada to aquariums in the United States and Spain on or before 28 July 2026. The operation required coordination, permits, cranes, planes, police escort and anti-anxiety medication for the animals.
