So: I did it—traded in my orange 17 Pro Max. A bit sad because I did love having such a colorful object in my life, and have a few matching items around. But: got $250 more than I owed on the upgrade program, and the whole value was applied to the lease, leaving me with a $1.17 monthly payment, plus the AppleCare. Have to finish paying off the other loan, but I imagine/hope the accrued equity will
