A Jacksonville woman is dead after an Amtrak train struck her SUV Thursday morning on the city’s Westside. Sgt. Robert Hungerford of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened in the 6100 block of Moncrief Road at about 6:30 a.m.
The driver, identified as a woman in her 30’s, was traveling eastbound on Moncrief Road when she was hit by the train that was headed southbound.
