HSBC announced it will hire 100 AI specialists and 100 wealth managers in Singapore as part of launching a global AI center in the city-state later in 2026. The expansion signals continued investment in Singapore as a financial technology hub.
Allianz agreed to purchase HSBC's Singapore life and health insurance business for S$2.7 billion (approximately $2.09–2.1 billion USD). The transaction is expected to complete in the first half of 2027.
